The most mysterious picture taken by Inha

Tradition has it that this picture was taken in the village of Sipilä in Virrat. The man riding the velocipede has been said to be Into Inha himself. But who could have been responsible for taking a picture such as this with a monorail camera in the late 19th century?

Our conclusion is that the man on the velocipede is one of the Nyström brothers, but the photographer must have been the master himself.

Below you can find a more detailed picture that better demonstrates the mastery of the photographer.

Notice that the little girl’s feet are in the air and the motion has been stopped and captured on a glass plate. No such photograph can be found from any of Inha’s contemporaries.

Attached below is the original picture from the archives of Aamu Nyström / Jäähdyspohja Village Association. This picture is unaltered and original.
